What To Do
No worse feeling than regret. Since you can't undo the past, the best thing is to learn from your mistakes and move on. Just keep working and be productive.
Month Of Change
Last day of November. December is shaping up to be the month of change. I take a trip to Europe in a few day and will spend several days there. When I return, I'll be moving to a new location. Throw myself into music & art. Those are my faithful friends.

Blackout Friday
It is pitch black outside. The Holiday Season is my least favorite time of year. It marks the beginning of a long, cold Winter. The fact that people would campout in order to shop is beyond comprehension. I do like the day after Christmas. The whole thing is over.

Move Back Up
I need to go where the creativity is. Follow it in that direction. Having tried all different things, it's time for me to move back up.
Giving Thanks
I'm giving thanks to the fact that I'll be in Amsterdam next week. That's my favorite city in the world. And with all the nonsense I deal with on a personal and professional basis, this is what I'm most grateful for.

Ride From Hell
Drove in some pretty heavy traffic today. I know it will be the same tomorrow. This can't continue on.

Monday Sun
Not a cloud in the sky
The Sun rising high
On a canvas of blue
The wind will cut you
Can't hide from the cold
Don't need to be told
Taken by the breeze
Are the raked up leaves
The Sun rising high
On a canvas of blue
The wind will cut you
Can't hide from the cold
Don't need to be told
Taken by the breeze
Are the raked up leaves

Jury Is Out
I'm still waiting for word on work related issues. I should know in a couple of days whether things I've set up will actually be implemented. Might as well be in Group Sales.

Paris In December
In 10 days I'm flying over to Amsterdam and there is a good chance I'll take a Train into Paris. I've always wanted to go there and visit. My plan is to do it on a day when the weather is nice. Sounds like fun to me.

Fried Friday
It was raining this morning so I didn't go for a run. Just as well. I'm not feeling all that good today. I just feel pretty burnt out. My stomach aches and it's as if things have gone too far. I'm not really sure what? It's not like I've been doing a whole lot. Sometimes it's just like you just push it to see how far you can go and then it's too much. That's enough to make you feel fried.

No Kids
It' a good thing I don't have any children. I feel incapable of being able to take care of them. My personal and professional life are not suited for that responsibility. That's just how it is. I never imagined myself as a father and even dreaded the idea. I've felt that way all of my life. No need for me to carry on the family name.
I Booked It
2 weeks from today, I'm taking a flight overseas. I couldn't let a great deal get away from me. I'll be visiting Amsterdam again. I might just take a train ride to Paris while I'm over there. It's what I want to do.
Flying Leaves
I can hear the leaves blowing around outside. It is dark as can be out there. The wind has picked up and the temperature has fallen. It won't be as warm as yesterday.

Another Trip
I'm temped to book another trip to Europe. There is a great deal online for flight & lodging. I would leave 2 weeks from today. I have the time and enough money to pull it off. I really want to do it.
New York City
There's a good chance I'll board a train and head into New York City today. The weather is suppose to be seasonably warm and the rain has gone away. Plenty of things for me to do there.

November Saturday
It's the middle of the month. The days are getting shorter. The moon has gone over the hill. It is dark before the dawn. The sun will shine and the weather looks nice for today. Even the temperatures will rise for the cold readings of the past few days. It's not Winter yet.

3,000 Miles
Taking my car in this morning for an oil change. I like to do it every 3,000 miles. I'll go to the same mechanic. I know what I'm paying for.

Took A Week
This was the the 1st training run since the New York City Marathon last Sunday. I was sore for the 1st few days after the race. I just thought it would be best to wait for a run. I was slow today. I'm just trying to get my sea legs from under me.

Make A Move
Things are changing
Going ahead
Try rearranging
Living & dead
Go to this place
Go to that
Run in a race
Wearing a hat
I'll let you know
Just where I'll go
You'll find it here
Have no fear
It's now the time
It's not a lie
There it now goes
Flying right by
Going ahead
Try rearranging
Living & dead
Go to this place
Go to that
Run in a race
Wearing a hat
I'll let you know
Just where I'll go
You'll find it here

3:59:10
Yesterday I ran in my 5th New York City marathon. It's amazing to think I've run that many of them. Things have changed since the 1st one I ran back I'm 2006. For one thing, I paid $80 the 1st time around. Now it goes for over $200. This year alone there were big changes due to the cancellation of the marathon due to Hurricane Sandy and then the bombings at the Boston Marathon several months ago. Lots of security. I heard that there were close to 50,000 runners in the race. I can believe it. It was crowded throughout. Plenty o people lined the streets to cheer us on. My main goal was to finish under 4 hours. I did that once at this race in 2010. I was so disappointed with my finish in 2011, that I spent last year qualifying for yesterday's race. I felt pretty good but there were times when I could feel my pace falling off. Each time I responded with a push. My splits were pretty even. When I hit the halfway mark, I was just under 2 hours. This was a concern since I knew my pace would have to be strong from there on in. The turning point of the race came at the 20-Mile mark, when I decided to pick up the pace and go for broke. I felt strong for the next 4 miles. But with 2 miles to go, I hit the wall hard and did everything I could to stay strong. When I crossed the Finish Line, I didn't know what my time was due to the fact that my watch stopped counting. I found out several hours later my finishing time was 3:59:10. I was so happy. I felt like I won with just seconds to go. It was a great weekend for me and I have another metal to the collection.

Marathon Weekend
In 48 hour I'll be running in the New York City Marathon. I'm heading into Manhattan today. I want to finish this race under 4 hours. That's my over/under finishing time. I feel like I'm in the best shape of my life. Everything will depend on how I feel Sunday. The weather looks good. This is the 5th time I've run this race and I'm ready to go.
