Tuesday

Tuesday has historically been my least favorite day of the week. Now with my new work schedule it lives up to that reputation.

2 Distance Runs

I ran two longer distant training runs In a row. I hadn't done that since the Winter. 

Marathon Training Now

I've now started my Philadelphia Marathon training. The race takes place in November. This will be the 2nd year in a row I'm running it. My hope is to run my fastest marathon to date. One big change from last year is that they won't be running the Half Marathon at the same time. There were too many runners on the road. And it's not like they don't have enough marathoner running it. Philadelphia doesn't have the reputations like that of Boston or New York, but I see it finding its own place. Now I want to be in the best condition for this race and it begins now.

Take Charge

It's time for me to take charge of my work, finances, creativity and athletics.

Head Cold

A runny nose and sore throat add to this trying month.

With all of the challenges I'm lost in song. Playing new tunes after work and the occasional old song too. It's what I do.

What do I know? Plan things one way and then something else takes place.

Song A Month

My plan this year was to write a song every month. I want to have a dozen by the end of the year.  So far I'm on pace to do that. It's take me about a month on average to compose a song. This plan started when I realized that no new songs had been written since my rock opera "The Front Desk" and that was 5 years ago. A long drought for me. It was something I wanted to do so my plan was to take it 1 song at a time. Happy to say the plan is working out. Here is the list of song thus far in order of completion. I call this album "Three Word Songs"

Rough Day

It just wasn't easy today and things had a way of not working out. Here's hoping tomorrow will be different. 

Double Shift

I worked a double shift on my first day as concierge director. Time to get some sleep.
