Wasted Day

If it wasn't a wasted day then at least it felt rather unproductive. I hate to be so negative but that's the truth. Maybe it doesn't matter because in 3 weeks time I'll be living and working somewhere else.

Winter Flashback

So much for Spring. It feels like Winter again. I went for a 7-Mile run and the streams & ponds are getting covered with ice again. It was cold this morning. I'm still bundled up.

A Sleep Dream

Last night I had this dream that I was at a concert before the start of the show and I just didn't want to be there. It was crowded and I was alone. Kind of like real life. That seems to be a theme with sleep dreams I have where I'm someplace and then I wake up from it. Is there some philisophical meaning there? I don't know.

Bad Bike News

Just spoke to the person who was going to tune up my bike and says that it's beyond repair. I've have it for 23 years and that's what disappoints me the most. My bicycle has been a partner for over 2 decades and now I will have to buy a new one. I can't help but feel sentimental about it. I'll go to the bike store and bring it home. I'll take care of it.

Jump Rope

I bought a jump rope today at the sporting goods store. This will come in handy for my aerobic training. It will also work different muscles in my legs. I'm also getting my bicycle tuned up. I brought it to the bike shop this morning. It needs a major overhaul and will probably cost me around $150. It's long overdue. I actually had to shut the bike down early last year because the tire was flat and the gears were slipping. I usually put the bike away in October for Winter Hibernation but last year it was done by September. This year though, there will be full cross training going on. Running, biking and jumping rope will be on the agenda.

Few For Tuesday

I have the day off from work. There are a few things I would like to do. I might run or paint or both. It's clear & cool outside. A few things to do.

Opening Day

It's April Fool's Day too. The baseball season starts this afternoon and if I wasn't working I'd be in The Bronx for Red Sox vs Yankees. I might go Thursday. I'm going up to Albany next week for a few days. I have plenty of things to do there. April is under way.
